For designers of WiMAX products, the UPG2176T5N single-pole double-throw (SPDT) GaAs MMIC switch operates over a frequency range from 2 to 6 GHz and comes in a compact, 6-pin RoHS-compliant T5N package measuring 1.5-mm square and 0.37-mm high.

Suitable for transmit/receive and antenna-diversity switching, the device features 50O unused port termination, meaning that when the switch is in the receive mode, the idle transmit port is automatically connected to a 50O load instead of being left open. Specifications include a control voltage of +3V/0V, insertion losses of 0.55 dB at 2.3 to 3.8 GHz and 0.7 dB at 5.8 GHz, and an input-to-output isolation of 27 dB at 2.7 GHz and 21 dB at 5.8 GHz.
