The Micro-ACE multi-chip hybrid interface terminals are said to be the smallest MIL-STD-1553 terminals in the industry and the first to be offered in a BGA package. Model BU-61740B3-202 is a remote terminal-only device with 4K x 16 of RAM, while Models BU-61840B3-202 and BU-61860B3-202 are bus controller, remote terminal and monitor devices with 4K x16 and 64K x 17 of RAM, respectively. Each of the three terminals includes autonomous bus control, a choice of remote terminal buffering modes, a selective message monitor, an autonomous protocol, and RAM self-test capability. In addition, users have a choice of 10-, 12-, 16-, or 20-MHz clock frequencies, and the devices also meet STANAG 3838 and MIL-STD-1760 requirements.
