Considered military wireless technology, Silvus Technologies now offers a commercial release of its 802.11n PHY IP solution, a licensable and synthesizable HDL implementation of the IEEE Standard 802.11n Draft 2.0 Edition. The IEEE 802.11n standard specifies the PHY for a higher data rate in the ISM band, extending the 802.11a/g standard and employing OFDM in conjunction with multi-antenna multiple-in multiple-out (MIMO) techniques. Applications include system-on-a-chip (SoC) designs, WLAN NIC stations, WLAN access points and bridges, residential gateways, and wireless HD video equipment. For more details, call SILVUS TECHNOLOGIES, Los Angeles, CA. (310) 479-3333.
