Supporting intelligent input/output (120) and Compact PCI hot swap, the QSpan II bus bridge offers high-performance, linked-list direct memory access and PCI V2.2 vital product data. The QSpan II is a pin and function superset of the QSpan device and can simply replace the original QSpan in designs to provide the new features without redesign. QSpan is a proven direct-connect PCI bus bridge to Motorola's MPC860/850/821, MC68360 and M68040 processors. QSpan II supports 120 and cPCI hot-swap standards while offering increased bandwidth via the linked-list DMA.
