Housed in a tiny surface-mount package, the ES series of RF modules uses an advanced FM/FSK-based synthesized architecture to achieve, among other things, high noise immunity compared to AM/OOK solutions. The ES series RF modules also feature a 56-Kbps (max.) data rate and a wide range of analog capabilities, such as audio, to go along with the modules's digital capabilities. Other features of the ES series includes RSSI, PDN, audio reference voltage, LVL ADJ, low voltage detect, and a microprocessor clock source. In addition, the transmitters and receivers available in the series span a wide range of frequencies so as to support worldwide applications, with the first devices to go commercial operating at 916.48 MHz and priced at approximately $8.50 each in volume quantities.
