Capable of measuring either rotational or torsional accelerations, the Model 7302BM4 angular accelerometer consists of a temperature compensated, piezo-resistive accelerometer and a Wheatstone bridge element. The component is fluid-damped to optimize frequency and phase response within a -17°C to +120°C temperature range and exhibits a frequency response from 0 to 1,600 Hz with a linear output up to 50,000 rad/s². Nominal sensitivity is 5.0 mV per krad/s² with an excitation voltage of 10 Vdc. Target applications include measurement of irregularities in shaft and drive train rotation for machine and turbine monitoring, as well as automotive crash testing and suspension and chassis vibration monitoring.
