Capable of detecting minimum 13.5-mm diameter objects and also slim objects such as a sheet of paper or a business card, the NAiS brand UZKB area sensor features a long operating range of 1 meter and 100-mm detection zone with an optical axis pitch of 10 mm. The sensor scans not only the elements of the emitter but also those of the receiver in order to obtain emission. All elements of the receiver are ready to receive the light. If only one element does not receive light, it results in light interrupted operation.
The sensor is just 10-mm thick and is mountable in a narrow space. An indicator with a 55-mm width is incorporated into both the emitter and the receiver.
