C-Band VCO Minimizes Phase Noise

May 8, 2006
Residing in an industry-standard MINI package measuring 0.5” x 0.5” x 0.22”, the V810ME05-LF C-band (2.865 GHz to 3.165 GHz) voltage-controlled oscillator offers a phase-noise performance of –91 dBc/Hz at a 10-kHz offset away

Residing in an industry-standard MINI package measuring 0.5” x 0.5” x 0.22”, the V810ME05-LF C-band (2.865 GHz to 3.165 GHz) voltage-controlled oscillator offers a phase-noise performance of –91 dBc/Hz at a 10-kHz offset away from the carrier. It provides a typical tuning sensitivity of 75 MHz/V and a harmonic-suppression figure of better than -25 dBc while delivering an O/P power of 4 dBm ±2 dB over an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +85ºC. The VCO operates from a 5V supply and consumes 20 mA typical, and its 300-MHz tuning band requires 0.5V to 5.5V. Price is $18.95. Z-COMMUNICATIONS INC., San Diego, CA. (619) 621-2700.
