Chemically Resistant Sensor Handles Low Liquid-Flow Rates

April 11, 2014
Targeting biomedical applications, the LS32-1500 liquid-flow sensor features wetted materials composed exclusively of stainless steel, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and polyetheretherketone (PEEK) to ensure high-level biocompatibility and chemical resistance.

Targeting biomedical applications, the LS32-1500 liquid-flow sensor features wetted materials composed exclusively of stainless steel, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and polyetheretherketone (PEEK) to ensure high-level biocompatibility and chemical resistance. The sensor is designed for flow rates of 0 to 40 ml/min. Sporting a redesigned 18- by 18- by 59-mm housing, the device offers a 30-ms response time and enhanced repeatability. It’s completely non-invasive—the MEMS chip is located on the outer wall of a capillary and measures through the wall of this channel. Specific applications include fuel cells, dosage control, and industrial automation monitoring.
