Measuring just 5.0 by 3.2 by 1.4 mm, the NT5032S surface-mount temperature-compensated crystal oscillators (TCXOs) are well suited for GPS and satellite-radio applications. They include satellite frequencies of 23.92 and 30 MHz, as well as others. Their frequency stability is ±2.5 ppm maximum from ­30° to 75°C. They operate from 3 V dc at 1.5 mA maximum with a 10-kΩ/10-pF load. Output is 0.8 V p-p minimum, and automatic-frequency-control characteristics are ±9 to about ±15 ppm at 1.5 V ±1 V. Aging is ±1 ppm/year. Housed in a ceramic-based metal-covered lead-free package, they cost $2.85 each in 10,000-unit lots. Lead time is 10 to 12 weeks.
