These composite cables contain both multimode and singlemode optical fibers within the same cable outer jacket. The cables can be color coded for easy identification and the optical fibers can be stripped to indicate which fibers are multimode and which are singlemode. A ripcord is included in the cable for faster opening of the cable for installers. The most common cables house 12, 18, 24 or 34 fibers with higher counts available. The cables are well-suited for shorter cable runs between and within buildings where many connections may be required. The indoor/outdoor PVC outer cable jacket is flame retardant for use within buildings. It is also fungus resistant for outdoor use and have UV inhibitors for outdoor and aerial lashed use.
