Claiming position as the smallest and lightest crystal in the world, the CX-18 debuts in a hermetically sealed ceramic package measuring 1.55 mm x 0.95 mm x 0.35 mm with a typical weight of 1.8 mg. Operating frequencies can range from 30 MHz to 50 MHz with frequency temperature stabilities of ±10 ppm over an operating temperature range of 0°C to +70°C or ±30 ppm over the military temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. The ceramic package with glass lid design prevents out-gassing and contamination, enabling an ageing characteristic of better than ±1 ppm over the first year.
