Designed for operation in harsh environments, Models T6020 and T6021 surface-mount, voltage-controlled crystal oscillators (VCXOs) operate over an extended temperature range of from -40°C to 85°C. The tiny ceramic devices are used in phase locked loops (PLLs) to clean up noisy data signal transmissions. They enable advanced wireless and datacomm systems to handle extreme conditions. Other applications include frequency multiplication, frequency division, and frequency synthesis. The devices also provide master-slave signal synchronization between separate pieces of equipment. Both devices operate over a 3- to 45-MHz frequency range and provide ±50 ppm and ±75 ppm frequency stabilities, respectively. Current draw at 5V and at 45-MHz operation is less than 25 mA. Available on tape-and-reel use in automated placement processes, the devices are priced from $16.50 each in OEM quantities.
