High-Grade SMT Film Capacitor Serves Multiple Purposes

The PPC series of high-grade surface-mount film capacitors is available in an ultra-mini 0603 moldless package measuring 1.6 by 0.8 mm. The devices have low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and low noise to suit a range of applications, including coupling, decoupling, time constant, filtering, oscillation, and resonance. The reflow-solderable parts range in value from 0.0001 to 0.1 µ>F with a tolerance of ±5%. They operate from −55°C to 125°C and have a voltage range of 16 to 50 V dc. With a delivery time of six to eight weeks, the PPC102J16TA costs $0.05 each in 10,000-piece quantities.
