Hydrogen Sensor Breaks Size Barrier

Assuming position as the market's smallest, the company's hydrogen micro-sensor measures 1 mm x 1 mm x 0.38 mm and is capable of detecting hydrogen from 0% to 100% lower explosive limit (LEL). This breakthrough in size reduction is reportedly the result of proprietary processes employing both MEMS micro-machined silicon and nano technologies. The component exhibits no cross sensitivities to methane and other flammable gases and specifies a power consumption of less than 25 mW.
