LabView Software Plug-In Lets Sensors Communicate Smartly

The Intelligent Sensor Communicator, a software plug-in for National Instruments' LabView, allows sensor data and simulated sensor data to communicate via an XML microserver to engineering and corporate networks using the KnowNow router backbone. It's a "publish and subscribe" model based on TCP/IP, http, and secure http protocols. Data can be monitored in real time anywhere the subscribing application has access to the Web or an intranet. The distributed software is fully scalable and accepts an infinite number of subscribers. Central management tools ensure full security with optional digital certificates.
