They offer an aesthetic solution to lightning and surge protection in homes and offices and include protection for Cat5, Cat5e, and Cat6 lines, shielded or unshielded, as well as telephone, DSL, and T1 lines.  Additionally, the Cat5, Cat5e, and Cat6 protectors are PoE compatible.  The telephone, DSL and T1 protectors feature reliable three-stage protection using thyristor diode technology.
