Magnetic Detect Switches Stand Up To Abuse

June 3, 2010
RS Series detect switches feature a magnetic reed sensor with an omni-polar orientation, allowing operation with either pole of the magnet.

Chiseled for use in rough and rugged telecom apps, the magnetic, surface-mount RS Series detect switches feature a magnetic reed sensor with an omni-polar orientation, allowing operation with either pole of the magnet. Available with top or side actuation, the normally-open switches feature a contact rating of 5 VA with a maximum switching current of 0.35A and a maximum carrying current of 0.5A. Maximum contact resistance is 200 m? initial and operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +140°C. Additionally, the components are available with either gullwing or J-lead terminations. C&K COMPONENTS, Newton, MA. (800) 635-5936.
