Resistant to harsh environments, the MP1021 series magnetic proximity sensors claim to have a virtually unlimited life span. Said to be the first such sensor to allow users to specify the sensing face, the sensors incorporate internal electronics that eliminate the need for external components. Features include an open-collector output, 4.5 to 24 Vdc operation, switching or latching configurations, and a temperature range from -40ûC to 85ûC. The switching version has a maximum operation point of 300 Gauss north and the latching sensor has a maximum latch point of 60 Gauss north with a maximum unlatch point of 60 Gauss north.
