The FM series rocker switches provide high resistance to moisture thanks to their double-shell case design. Moisture that enters the switch around the rocker actuator is trapped in a recess formed between the double case walls and conducted outside by vent holes at the ends of the case. A translucent PVC boot option yields added protection from splashing liquids and sand. Single-pole, single-throw (SPST) and single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) models are available with on-off, on-on, off-momentary, and on-off-on configurations. Contact ratings for the on-off models are 10 A at 250 V ac, 10 A at 125 V ac, or 6 A at 250 V ac. Initial contact resistance is 20 mΩ maximum, electrical life is 10,000 cycles minimum, and mechanical life is 50,000 cycles minimum. All FM models are UL- and VDE-recognized. They snap fit into a panel cutout measuring 19 by 13 mm. The FMC12A2200000 on-off unit costs $0.43 each in 1000-piece quantities.
