Providing 360° absolute angle measurements with a 12-bit resolution, the RSC3700 non-contact rotary position sensors integrate a microprocessor that allows users to pre-program custom output-characteristic curves. Measurements refer to a mechanical index point, providing position retention in the advent of power failures. Output interfaces include 4 mA to 20 mA, 0V to 10V, or 0.5V to 4.5V analog and PWM. Specs include a resolution to ±0.09°, absolute linearity of ±0.1%, repeatability of less than 0.15%, and a sample rate up to 1 kHz. The sensors can also be set to generate up to two digital trigger signals to control mechanical processes or signal specific events. Measuring 36.5 mm in diameter and 46 mm deep, other features include stainless-steel cases with IP 67 sealing, EMC tolerance up to 30 V/m, and an operating temperature from -40°C to 85°C.
