Claiming to reside in the industry's smallest package, the PCA1550A PLL module integrates the phase detector, loop filter and VCO in a housing measuring just 0.5'' x 0.5'' x 0.14" high. Despite its size, the module has a frequency range of 1.5 GHz to 1.6 GHz with a step size of 1 MHz .With a loop bandwidth about 1.25 kHz, phase noise is -78 dBc/Hz and -103 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset. Startup lock time is 3 ms and adjacent channel switching speed is 2 ms. Other specs for the PLL module include an output of 1.5 ±2.5 dBM into a 50½ load and a harmonic suppression of -20 dBc.
