A new thermal miniature circuit breaker has been designed with effective overload protection in a pluggable package for electrical installations and devices. The 8 mm wide TCP circuit breaker overcomes the inconvenience of glass fuses, as storing and finding the right fuse is eliminated. An integrated switching function immediately switches back on tripped circuits, and doubles as an on/off switch. The modular base terminal block and the pluggable circuit breaker make it possible for users to implement a wide range of power distribution tasks ranging from 0.25A up to 10A at either 250 Vac or 65 Vdc. Also, a variable length screw bridge or a push-in bridge can be employed to distribute the unit’s input voltage to a maximum density up to 10 circuits.
