Thanks to its low jitter and excellent phase noise, the RFX300 radio-frequency crystal oscillator is well suited for Sonet, synchronous digital hierarchy, asynchronous transfer mode, and wireless-area network applications. The high-performance RFX300 offers less than 0.5-ps phase jitter, 3-psRMS jitter, and 30-ps cycle-to-cycle jitter. Frequency stabilities run from ±20 ppm to ±100 ppm, and frequency ranges from 600 MHz to 1.25 GHz. Output symmetry is 45% to 55% V p-p over the frequency range. Standard operating temperature range is −20°C to 70°C. An extended temperature version, which operates from −40°C to 85°C, is also available. The device measures 7.5 by 5.0 by 1.5 mm. Available in 3.3- and 2.5-V versions, the oscillator features LV-PECL complementary outputs. Pricing for the RFX300 series oscillator at 622.08 MHz starts at $32 each in 1000-unit quantities.
