A new solid state silicon accelerometer utilizes military grade assembly line construction techniques with the production controls and inspection associated with a Military Certified Quality System. The Model SSA-1000 sensor is touts improved performance, smaller size and added options. Electrical connections are made directly to solder terminals or via integrally attached shielded cable. Frequency response is factory set at dc to 100 Hz with wideband response versions available. Military grade packaging techniques have reduced the size of the rugged light-weight case design. The case is said to withstand the most demanding environmental considerations. Weight ranges include ±2g or ±10g. COLUMBIA RESEARCH LABORATORIES INC., Woodlyn, PA. (800) 813-8471.
