Employing a piezoelectric crystal element, the Series 3000 sensors are capable of detecting and measuring vibration as low as 0.01g or explosive blasts as high as 10,000g. And they can make the measurements either dynamically in microseconds or over indefinite periods of time. Delivering a voltage output proportional to vibration or shock and adapted from aerospace technology, the sensor provides an interface between computer or production control systems and equipment and commercial/industrial manufacturing processes. The units provide warnings of impending equipment/system failure and are insensitive to mounting torque, body strains, and cable and pressure vibration. The outer case is constructed to withstand severe industrial environments. And their size is approximately 0.625" in diameter by 0.80" high.
