Constructed using the company's ceramic-to-metal sealing technology, the SHV coaxial connector is designed to mate with a standard 10 kV SHV plug. The smaller diameter of the connector does not compromise its 10 kV voltage rating, it's claimed. The new receptacles have a temperature range of -269°C to +450°C and can reportedly handle currents up to 2A and voltages up to 10 kV.
The connector is non-magnetic and provides more flexibility due to its decreased size. The new weldable receptacle is constructed of 304 stainless steel and high purity alumina ceramic. The connector can be suppled on contact flanges, quick flanges, or custom flanges.
