Solid-State Switch Requires No Power Lead

March 1, 1999
Capable of operating without a power supply, the QBAR QB104M3 normally-closed switch is a three-terminal, SOT-23 solid-state device that is logic-level controlled by only 60µA, has a CMOS TTL-compatible Schmitt trigger input, and switches 175 mA

Capable of operating without a power supply, the QBAR QB104M3 normally-closed switch is a three-terminal, SOT-23 solid-state device that is logic-level controlled by only 60µA, has a CMOS TTL-compatible Schmitt trigger input, and switches 175 mA at up to 20 vdc in just 2µs. The switch operates without a power supply pin and provides fail/safe performance if power is lost or wires are severed.Providing the reliability of an IC, the switch is a relay alternative for controlling fans, alarms, and other applications that use a normally-closed switch. It does not require the current of a coil or opto device and is not susceptible to dust or contact corrosion problems.
