Increased flexibility, lighter weight and smaller diameters are among the enhancements made to a line of miniature coaxial cable assemblies. The new hyperFLEX cables are 50% more flexible than the cables they replace, while the versaFLEX cables are 20% more flexible. The assemblies come with 10-32 coax plugs on both ends or with an M3 coaxial plug on one end and a 10-32 plug on the other. The versaFLEX assemblies resist water penetration and are well-suited for use in applications requiring limited outgassing, such as in space environments. And both assemblies employ a new coupling nut that uses an unique diamond-back knurl, allowing increased torque to be applied to the nut to achieve more secure connections. They also have a hermetic construction that helps ensure a strong bond between pin, insulator and connector shell. For more details, call Adam Coghill at ENDEVCO, San Juan Capistrano, CA.
