Incorporating advanced frequency spreading and modulation techniques, these new clock oscillators are said to offer an increasingly effective and cost-efficient method of EMI management. The spread spectrum technique reduces measured EMI for the primary clock source, thus also modulating all other signals being synchronized by the clock. The technique can reduce measured EMI by as much as 12 dB.The oscillators are said to be especially useful in the design of high-speed computer and communications equipment with speeds of above 1 GHz. They come in standard and custom configurations rated from 244 Hz to 600 MHz.
