Reported to be one of the industry's smallest, lowest power-consuming, temperature-controlled crystal oscillators, the S6800 Series of devices is especially applicable within tight environments such as PCMCIA cards and handheld wireless devices. Housed in a ceramic package with only a 3.5 mm x 6 mm footprint and a 1.7-mm profile, the surface-mount device delivers frequency stability of ±2.5 ppm max. vs. temperature; ±0.3 ppm max. vs. supply voltage; ±1 ppm max. per year vs. time; and ±0.3 ppm max. vs. load.
Given a supply voltage of 3V ±5%, the device yields a frequency control range of ±5 to ±12 ppm from a pull voltage of 0.5 to 2.5V. Available in standard wireless frequencies of 12.80, 13.00, 14.40, 19.20 and 19.68 MHz, the device excels within the temperature range of -30°C to +80°C. Available on 16-mm tape or 500 pieces per reel, the package offers full compatibility with standard SMT processes.
