TCVCXO Delivers Mini Precision Clocking Source

May 15, 2012
Pletronics’ TCG4 Series TCVCXOs are an alternative highly stable, precision clocking source for numerous applications, such as small handheld electronic devices, GPS instrumentation, and Wi-Fi.
A tiny, low-cost temperature-compensated voltage-controlled crystal oscillator (TCVCXO) can be used as a highly stable, precision clocking source for numerous applications, such as small handheld electronic devices, GPS instrumentation, and Wi-Fi. Pletronics’ TCG4 Series TCVCXOs range in supply voltages from 1.8 to 3.3 V, and clipped-sine wave output in frequencies from 15 to 52 MHz. They feature low 2.5-mA power consumption as well as low phase noise and jitter. Ceramic LCC packaging measures a mere 1.6 by 2.0 mm (available in tape-and-reel format).
