By incorporating a custom IC, the RTVY-174 temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) is made smaller and more efficient than competitive units, it's claimed. The 6 mm x 3. 5 mm device offers ±2.5 ppm stability over its full temperature range of -30°C to 80°C.It's offered in standard frequencies of from 12.6 to 19.8 MHz with output voltage of 0.9Vpk-pk minimum (clipped sinewave) and is capable of driving a 10-kiloohm load shunted by 10 pF. The TCXO draws 2 mA maximum from a single 3V supply. Stability over ±5% power-supply variations is better than ±0.3 ppm. Output frequency can be "pulled" up to ±12 ppm.
