Temp-Compensated Pressure Sensors Offer Design Flexibility

Temperature-compensated pressure sensors, featuring ‘back-side entry’ approach, keep the sensing media isolated from the electronic circuitry.

Merit Sensor’s TR Series packaged, temperature-compensated pressure sensors feature their ‘back-side entry’ approach, where the sensing media cannot come in contact with the active, top side of the pressure sensing die, keeping it isolated from the electronic circuitry. The fully temperature-compensated sensors provide the ability to measure absolute or gage pressure up to 300 psi with a total error band of +/- 2.5 % FSO over an extended temperature range of -40°C to +150°C, suiting them for applications in the industrial and automotive sectors. The design flexibility of the series meets the needs also for applications in the medical and aerospace markets. The sensors operate from a single supply voltage of 4.5 to 5.5 Vdc and a supply current of 10 mA, requiring no external components. Along with the ability to customize a packaging solution based on customers’ preferences, there are also three standard packaging options: standard face seal, standard with gel-filled polycarbonate pressure port and standard with ferrule and pins. The TR Series pressure sensors are priced at $11.75 each/10,000 with standard device options available from stock.
