The MCL single-axis, programmable tilt switch combines microprocessor-based electronics with the company's MCL TrueTILT sensor in a compact, high-impact case. Providing both uni- and bi-directional open collector outputs, the tilt switch operates from a 4.5V to 28V power supply and specifies a ±45º sensing range. Via a simple design, users can expect non-mercury, field-settable switching that avoids the wide hysteresis errors caused by temperature in most mercury and gravity ball switches. Factory or user configurable, the switch suits both prototype and production requirements such as vehicle tip-over protection/warning, alarm system activation, structural threshold monitoring, and safety cut-off switches.
