The SMV2165A surface-mount voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) covers the frequency range of 2118 to 2218 MHz within 0 to 3 vdc of the control voltage. The subminiature device provides a spectral purity of -91 dBc/Hz, typical, at 10 kHz from the carrier. Other features include an output power of 6 dBm, ±3 dBm, into a 50 ohm load and 3.3 vdc operation with a current draw of 16 mA. The SMT oscillator pushes less than 15 MHz/V within a 5% change of the supply voltage and pulls less than 15 MHz with a 14 dB return loss at any phase. It is available in tape-and-reel packaging.
