Comprised of seven components, the VTO series voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) complement 10 Gb/s and 40 Gb/s systems with and without FEC. They come in a hermetically-sealed, metal package measuring 0.4" x 0.95" x 1.18" with an RF connector.

Comprised of seven components, the VTO series voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) complement 10 Gb/s and 40 Gb/s systems with and without FEC. They come in a hermetically-sealed, metal package measuring 0.4" x 0.95" x 1.18" with an RF connector. Features include a typical jitter performance of less than 50 fs. The VTO-0995-TO8, -0995-SMA, and -1070-SMA operate at 9.95, 9.95, and 10.75 GHz, respectively. The VTO-1990-SMA, -2150-SMA, -3981-K, and -4301-K offer operating frequencies of 19.9, 21.5, 39.81, and 43.01 GHz, respectively. Prices range from $160 to $1,400 each/250.
