The Model VS-9000 voltage-controlled oscillator (VCXO) boasts of a frequency-pulling range of 100 ppm and less than 50 ps (5 ps rms) of jitter. Designed to fit close-quarter designs, the unit measures only 5 mm x 7mm x 2 mm.An optional enable/disable pin is available that can be used to tristate the output of the VCXO, saving CMOS switching power when the host product is in quiescent mode. The VS-9000 is available in frequencies from 1 to 70 MHz, with 77.76 MHz under development. Operating temperature range is from 0°C to 70°C.
