Groomed for the industrial-computing market, the first two devices from the Sitara family of microprocessors, the AM3505 and AM3517, offer multiple packages, industrial temperature options, peripheral integration, graphics capabilities, and high computational performance at sub-1W power levels. Features include a superscalar, 500-MHz ARM Cortex-A8 core that provides 1,000 Dhrystone MIPS, an operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C, a display subsystem with picture-in-picture, color-space conversion, rotation, and resizing support, an integrated CAN controller, 3.3V I/O, and software code compatibility with OMAP35x processors.
