Groomed for deployment in Blu-ray and HD-DVD players, DTVs, and other high-definition home-theater products, the 88DE2710 dual-channel digital video format converter employs the company's quiet video processing technology to deliver resolutions up to 1080p without noise or artifacts. The chip converts PC graphics and standard-definition digital video inputs into HD outputs with support for multiple frame rates. Features include per-pixel motion-adaptive, edge-adaptive 3D de-interlacing, per-pixel motion-adaptive spatio-temporal noise reduction, content-adaptive block and mosquito noise reduction, and advanced color management incorporating local adaptive contrast enhancement and intelligent color remapping. Additionally, the device supports the TwinD architecture, which accommodates an auxiliary SD output for simultaneous viewing and recording of HD/SD content.
