The XC800 eight-bit microcontroller (MCU) family is capable of operating without limitations in ambient temperatures from -40°C to +150°C

The XC800 eight-bit microcontroller (MCU) family is capable of operating without limitations in ambient temperatures from -40°C to +150°C. Suitable for use in automotive applications, the high-temperature devices are qualified and tested in accordance with the AEC-Q100 Grade 0. They can be placed closer to sensors or actuators to enable better connectivity, efficient motor control, and lower system cost when compared to similar electronic or mechanical solutions. Engineering samples of the 150°C, FOC-capable XC886 Grade 0 with 24 KB and 32 KB of flash memory are available. Production is scheduled for July. INFINEON TECHNOLOGIES, Milpitas, CA. (866) 951-9519.
