Gates Take On Role As Power Savers

April 2, 2010
TinyLogic low ICCT gates offer up to a 99% reduction in quiescent power consumption in comparison to standard CMOS devices when the input high voltage is less than supply voltage

Promising to extend battery life in mobile electronics, the TinyLogic low ICCT gates, the NC7SVL04, NC7SVL08, and NC7SVL32, offer up to a 99% reduction in quiescent power consumption in comparison to standard CMOS devices when the input high voltage is less than supply voltage. Available in a six-pin MicroPak measuring 1 mm x 1.45 mm, the gates take up minimal board space while future developments are planned to introduce them in next-gen MicroPak2 housings measuring 1 mm x 1 mm. Pricing is $0.08 each/1,000. FAIRCHILD SEMICONDUCTOR CORP. South Portland, ME. (800) 341-0392.
