Claiming to provide the industry's best stop-band attenuation, gain matching, and ESD protection, the MAX11500 three-channel HD video filter, MAX11501/MAX11502 three-channel SD video filters, and the MAX11504/MAX11505 four-channel SD video filters integrate filters exhibiting reliable time-domain response with low overshoot, input clamps, output buffers, and ±12 kV of ESD protection. The MAX11500 supports HD (1080i/720p) and the MAX11501, MAX11502, MAX11504, and MAX11505 support SD (NTSC/PAL) standards. The MAX11500 is a sixth-order 33-MHz HD filter that accommodates component video (YPbPr and RGB) while the MAX11501, MAX11502, MAX11504, and MAX11505 are fifth-order SD filters that accommodate component (YPbPr, RGB, and S-video or Y/C) and composite video (CVBS). The MAX11501 and MAX11504 offer a flat pass band with an 8.6-MHz bandwidth, while the MAX11502 and MAX11505 provide a high-frequency boost pass band with an 8.9-MHz bandwidth to compensate for DAC roll off. The MAX11500, MAX11501, and MAX11502 come in eight-pin SO packages and the MAX11504 and MAX11505 are available in 10-pin microMAX packages. Depending on the device, prices range from $0.55 to $0.66 each/1,000. MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS, Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 998-8800.
