Employing FLEXSOUND technology, the MAX98088 audio codec improves loudspeaker performance by optimizing signal level and frequency response while limiting maximum output power and distortion.

Employing FLEXSOUND technology, the MAX98088 audio codec improves loudspeaker performance by optimizing signal level and frequency response while limiting maximum output power and distortion. Power consumption is 5.6 mW. Integrated headphone amps use a dual-mode charge pump and Class H output stage to maximize efficiency, eliminating the need for large output capacitors. Ground sense reduces output noise caused by ground-return current. Output power is 950 mW into 8? speakers while maintaining 87% efficiency. Available in a 3.8 mm x 3.3 mm, 0.4 mm, 63-bump WLP, price starts at $1.98 each/1,000. MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS, Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 998-8800.
