Touch Sensor Controller Forecasts Next-Gen User Experiences

June 11, 2010
The latest ZXY100 devices promise to increase speed and accuracy, streamline system integration, save 55% of PCB space, and provide a platform for unique touch features that add extra value to HMI apps.

Embarking as the next-generation controller architecture for the company’s PCT based capacitive touch sensors, the latest ZXY100 devices promise to increase speed and accuracy, streamline system integration, save 55% of PCB space, and provide a platform for unique touch features that add extra value to HMI apps. The controllers are fully compatible with all PCT touch sensors including all sizes of ZYPOS, ZYBRID, ZYTOUCH, and the flexible ZYFILM and ZYPROFILM sensors. Driving the ZXY100 controller is a 32-bit ARM microprocessor, enabling faster touch detection and enhanced responsiveness in both direct touch and through-glass sensing. Three additions to the ZXY100 family include a 32-channel device measuring 54 mm x 34 mm, a 64-channel controller, and a 128-channel version.
