High-speed applications, such as in computers, video displays and networking, are the forte of 10 new CMOS devices comprising the 74ALVC16xx and 74ALVCH16xx families. The devices provide standard bus interfacing with functions that include buffers, latches and flip-flops. The 74ALVCH devices include a bus-hold feature that allows users to eliminate discrete resistors. Operating voltages range from 1.65V to 3.6V, with the devices exhibiting a maximum delay of 3.6 ns at 3V and a latchup immunity of greater than 250 mA. Five devices in the 74ALVC16xx family include 16-bit inverting and non-inverting buffers, a transceiver, transparent latch, and D flip flop. The 74ALVCH16xx devices with the bus-hold feature offer identical function configurations. All 10 devices are offered in TSSOPs and are priced at $0.99 each/10K. ON SEMICONDUCTOR, Phoenix, AZ.
