Said to be easy to design into any microprocessor-based product, the OptiScape 3430 display module combines a digital CMOS backplane with advanced liquid crystal technology and patented viewing optics to create a low-power, highly integrated color display for mobile appliances. Typically viewed at about 1" from the eye, the module creates a virtual image equivalent to a 19" SVGA desktop monitor viewed at 2.5 feet. The color rich display controller provides a parallel system interface compatible with most 8-, 16- or 32-bit microprocessors. The display controller hides all of the complexities of driving a field sequential micro-display and makes the display appear to the system as a simple linear frame buffer. The display requires a single 3.3V power supply and no D/A converters.
