Feb. 3, 2005
A new portable TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) reader allows users to quickly and easily read the full contents of any embedded IEEE P1451.4 transducer. It works in conjunction with a Dell Axim X3 PDA (Pocket PC) as the control/readout device.

A new portable TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) reader allows users to quickly and easily read the full contents of any embedded IEEE P1451.4 transducer. It works in conjunction with a Dell Axim X3 PDA (Pocket PC) as the control/readout device. Together, the system displays the contents of the TEDS memory chip located inside the transducer. The entire transducer data sheet is shown in full detail, including important information such as sensitivity, location and calibration coefficients. The PDA can also write task-specific information to user fields in the TEDS reader, as defined in the standard. The reader is designed for field use in industrial environments. Included is an interface cable with a 10-32 transducer connector. ENDEVCO, San Juan Capistrano, CA. (949) 493-8181.
