The FAN7830 and FAN7832 half-bridge gate drivers have voltage capabilities up to 600V and fast switching speed (dv/dt of 50 V/ns maximum) for driving MOSFETs and IGBTs in power applications such as air conditioners, washing machines, plasma display

The FAN7830 and FAN7832 half-bridge gate drivers have voltage capabilities up to 600V and fast switching speed (dv/dt of 50 V/ns maximum) for driving MOSFETs and IGBTs in power applications such as air conditioners, washing machines, plasma display panels and industrial applications. Both incorporate an advanced level-shift circuit permitting high-side driver operation with negative VS swings of up to -9V at VBS of 15V. Extremely low power consumptions is attained because of the devices’ low quiescent currents: IQBS of 40 μA (typical) for the FAN7830 and 30 μA (typical) for the FAN7832. The FAN7830 can source 90 mA and sink 180 mA on both channels. The FAN7832 sources 350 mA and sinks 650 mA. Each driver features floating channels for bootstrap operation to 600V and under voltage lockout (UVLO) on both channels. The devices operate over a 10V to 20V supply range for Vcc and VBS. Both accept TTL-compatible input signals. The devices are supplied in 8-lead SOIC packages. Pricing in 1,000 quantities is $0.70 each for the FAN7380 and $1.00 each for the FAN7382.
