LED DRIVER ICs

Aug. 1, 1998

LED DRIVER ICs-A complete selection of Toshiba interface driver devices, including the new Constant Current output technology devices designed specifically for LED display applications, is featured in firm's 264-page LED Driver IC Data Book. The devices are designed to help ensure that all the LEDs in a display are driven by a constant current independent of circuit variables such as power distribution voltage drops, component variations and power supply drift, as well as variations in the forward voltage drop of the LEDs. This is said to ensure that brightness remains consistent across the display. The Constant Current feature is especially useful in bi-color and full-color LED displays where colors are mixed to create additional colors.
